Privacy notice
This site does not collect your personal data. It has no accounts, no cookies, no analytics, no ads and no third-party scripts, fonts or embeds. The only thing it saves on your device is your light or dark theme choice, and only after you press the theme button.
Who runs this site
This site is run by Israel Allen in Hanover, New Hampshire, United States. You can reach me at israel.l.allen.28@dartmouth.edu.
What the site does not do
- It sets no cookies.
- It runs no analytics, advertising, tracking pixels or fingerprinting.
- It loads nothing from other companies: every script, style, image and font comes from this site. Your browser makes no requests to third parties because of anything on these pages.
- It has no accounts, comments or other places for you to post content.
- It never asks for your location, microphone or camera. The film’s sound is generated inside your browser and nothing is recorded.
What is stored on your device
If you press the theme button, the site saves one value in your browser’s local storage under the name ia-theme. It is either light or dark, so the next page opens in the theme you picked. It stays on your device, is never sent anywhere, and you can remove it by clearing this site’s data in your browser.
Hosting and domain
The site is hosted on GitHub Pages. When you visit any website, the company that hosts it receives technical information such as your IP address, your browser type and the pages you ask for. For this site that company is GitHub, and it handles that information under the GitHub Privacy Statement. I don’t add any logging or analytics of my own.
The domain name lukeanthony.co is served through my domain registrar and DNS provider, which process the DNS lookups that tell your browser where the site lives.
If you contact me
If you email me, I receive your email address, your name if it appears, and whatever you write. I use it only to read your message and reply, I keep it only as long as I need to, and I don’t share it or add you to any list.
The message form on the contact page does not send anything itself. It builds a draft in your own email app, addressed to me, and nothing leaves your device until you press send there.
Links to other sites
This site links to GitHub and LinkedIn. Those sites have their own privacy practices, and this notice doesn’t cover them.
Children
This site is not aimed at children under 13, and it does not knowingly collect information from anyone.
Your rights
Because the site doesn’t collect personal data, there is normally nothing for me to access, correct or delete. If you have emailed me and want your messages deleted, or you have a question about your rights under laws such as the GDPR, the UK GDPR or the California Consumer Privacy Act, email me and I will respond.
Changes
If this notice changes, the date at the top will change with it.
